Matzen Wins League Honor

OTTUMWA --- Indian Hills sophomore first baseman Kaitlyn Matzen has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week. 

Matzen, from Manly, Iowa, had a big week at the plate for the Warriors, hitting .454 in eight games with 11 RBIs and four runs scored.  She also slugged four home runs during the week, giving her 10 for the season, second in the conference.

A two-year starter, Matzen is batting .340 with 33 hits, a team-high 32 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
